Batch Deconsolidation
Batch Deconsolidation
In supply chain management, batch deconsolidation is the process in which a large volume of SKUs are separated into the appropriate orders for shipping to customers. Deconsolidation is often completed after multiple orders have been picked (or batched) into a tote. The deconsolidation area may contain automation such as a put wall that uses put-to-light technology to deconstruct the SKUs into their individual orders or it could be driven by software to direct the operator depending on the type of batch created.
